Client and Brief

Skanska needed an English-language activity for an international team of colleagues from Poland, Romania and Hungary — designed to build collaboration while showing them as much of historic Prague as possible.

Skanska Property Czech Republic, s.r.o. is a development and construction company and part of the international Skanska group, one of the largest construction and development companies in the world. An international team of colleagues from across the Skanska group — Poland, Romania and Hungary — had travelled to Prague.

The HR team was looking for an activity that would show participants as much of historic Prague as possible, run in English as the shared language of an international team, split an eleven-person group into two competing teams, and strengthen collaboration, communication and mutual trust between colleagues from different countries.

The Solution: an English-Language Hunt Through the Historic Centre

Instead of the originally considered Karlín district, after a consultation with the client we moved the start straight into the historic core of Prague — Old Town Square, by the Jan Hus monument.

We tailored the programme precisely to the brief:

  • Format: Treasure Hunt Prague (outdoor version) in English
  • Group size: 11 participants, split into two competing teams
  • Route: the picturesque lanes of the Old Town, combining historical facts, legends and stories
  • Duration: around 2.5 hours, starting at 3:00 PM
  • Finish: a shared results evaluation at Kolkovna Celnice restaurant
  • Guides: experienced bilingual guides throughout the game

On the Day, and Staying Flexible

The event took place on July 1, 2026, and it started raining during the game — thanks to our flexible policy and experienced guides, that didn't spoil the experience for participants.

Thanks to our flexible policy — the option to reschedule, change or cancel at no fee in bad weather — plus experienced guides on the ground, the rain had no negative impact on the participants' experience. The group carried on along the route and the game continued as planned.

Outcome and Feedback

The client rated the event as successful and enjoyable despite the rain — and Skanska has expressed interest in further team building activities in the future.

Anna Blažková, HR and Office Administrator at Skanska, said after the event:

"Even though it was raining, we really enjoyed it."

Skanska also expressed interest in further team building activities down the line, confirming that the experience met expectations and opened the door to an ongoing relationship.
