#1 Scavenger Hunt / Treasure Hunt Prague
Treasure Hunt Prague is our own format — and the activity that consistently comes out on top when measured against the others for genuine team building effect. Teams explore Prague's historic centre, complete challenges, solve puzzles and compete for the best result under the guidance of an experienced Game Master.
The key advantage over every other activity here: it scales without limits. Got 15 people? Perfect. Got 250? No problem — participants split into small teams that run the same route in parallel, and the shared awards ceremony brings everyone together at the end. No other activity on this list can do that.
Then there's the setting. Prague is extraordinary — and because it's new or at least unusual as a game environment for most participants, it naturally breaks down office hierarchy. In Prague's narrow streets, there's no boss and no subordinate, just a team trying to win.
- Ideal for: companies of any size, annual kick-offs, onboarding, corporate team building, milestone celebrations
- Strengths: largest capacity, highest wow factor, memorable experience, works year-round
- Weaknesses: outdoor format — heavy rain means we adapt the programme
#2 Outdoor Escape Game
Prague Mystery is an outdoor escape experience set in Prague's historic centre. At the starting point near Charles Bridge, a professional guide welcomes the group, introduces the mission's story and splits participants into teams. The teams then make their way through the Old Town, deciphering cryptic clues and searching for a path to the legendary Temple of Enlightenment — no app needed, using real props and physical objects found along the route.
The key difference from a traditional escape room: Prague itself is the game environment. Historical landmarks, hidden courtyards and the authentic atmosphere of the Old Town are woven into the puzzles. Capacity is capped at 36 (up to 6 teams of 2–6), making it a more intimate experience than Scavenger Hunt — but with a high level of immersion and a great team bonding effect.
- Ideal for: teams up to 36, team afternoons, departments, management groups
- Strengths: real-world setting without an app, professional guide, strong narrative immersion
- Weaknesses: lower capacity (max 36), weather-dependent
#3 Escape Room
Escape rooms are a great choice for smaller teams of up to 20. An intense hour packed with puzzles, locked chests and logic challenges genuinely demands communication and task-sharing. Prague has dozens of thematically diverse rooms — from historical to sci-fi.
The problem comes with larger groups. Booking multiple rooms in parallel works logistically, but teams play separately and the shared experience is minimal. And 60 minutes is fairly short for a corporate event — you'll want to round it out with food or an after-party.
- Ideal for: small teams of 8–20, working groups, departments
- Strengths: intense collaboration, wide range of themes, year-round indoor
- Weaknesses: small capacity, short duration, groups play separately
#4 Cooking Class with a Chef
Cooking together under a professional chef is one of the most elegant corporate activities available. Teams compete to create the best dish and then eat the results — literally. Chefparade in Prague leads the segment with excellent corporate references.
The price is higher, but it includes ingredients, kitchen staff and venue. The activity naturally combines creativity, coordination and communication. The downside is a capacity ceiling of around 40 — larger companies will need multiple sessions or a different activity altogether.
- Ideal for: teams of 10–40, management retreats, creative departments, Christmas parties with a programme
- Strengths: high-quality experience, includes food and drink, elegant setting
- Weaknesses: highest price on the list, low capacity, not suited to more physically active teams
#5 Laser Game
Laser game is the most affordable option on the entire list. Low price, simple logistics and the adrenalin buzz of a team battle — hard to argue with. Popular especially among younger groups and tech companies.
From a team building perspective, however, laser game is below average: communication is minimal, strategy is superficial and the noisy environment doesn't help anyone talk. It works well as a supporting activity alongside a main event, or as part of a corporate Olympics.
- Ideal for: younger teams, supplementary programme, low-budget events
- Strengths: lowest price, no physical demands, quick to organise
- Weaknesses: weak team building effect, loud environment, short duration
#6 Paintball
Paintball is a corporate event classic with real strengths: it demands tactics, communication and covering each other. Physically active teams love it. Prague and its surroundings have several venues with different game scenarios.
Watch for the limitations: paintball isn't suitable for mixed groups with physical restrictions, older employees or anyone who doesn't enjoy contact activities. Always check the group's make-up in advance. The season runs roughly April–October.
- Ideal for: physically active teams, younger or mixed groups, spring through autumn
- Strengths: adrenalin, real team tactics, longer programme
- Weaknesses: seasonal, physical demands exclude some participants, clothing gets ruined
#7 Axe Throwing
Axe throwing is one of the fastest-growing trends in corporate entertainment. The experience is visceral — hitting the target turns out to be easier than it looks, and the satisfaction of your first bullseye is genuine. It's a great ice-breaker that cuts through office stiffness instantly.
The limitation is capacity: most Prague venues handle 12–24 people at once, with participants rotating at the targets. Waiting can get dull and the team building collaboration factor is low — throwing an axe is fundamentally an individual activity.
- Ideal for: small teams of 6–20, unconventional parties, ice-breaker before dinner
- Strengths: strong visceral experience, unusual, great conversation starter
- Weaknesses: small capacity, individual activity without team collaboration, short duration
#8 Bowling
Bowling is a classic for good reason: it's inexpensive, logistically straightforward and almost everyone can participate. Prague has dozens of bowling centres with a restaurant — combining the game with dinner is a reliable formula.
From a pure team building standpoint, bowling is below average. Players stand in a line and take turns, conversation happens off the lanes and group dynamics are minimal. It works as evening entertainment, but don't mistake it for team building with a measurable effect.
- Ideal for: informal evenings, social gatherings, low budget
- Strengths: lowest price, easy to organise, accessible to everyone
- Weaknesses: weak team building effect, passive waiting, individual play
#9 Paddleboarding on the Vltava
Paddleboarding on the Vltava is a refreshing choice for the summer months. The view of Prague from the water is unforgettable and the activity is accessible to almost any fitness level. No prior experience needed — the instructor has you sorted in ten minutes.
The team building value is limited though: you're on your own board, communication is minimal and weather is critical. The season runs roughly April–October. It works best as part of an afternoon programme combined with a more structured activity.
- Ideal for: summer events, outdoorsy teams, afternoon complement to another activity
- Strengths: unique view of Prague, accessible to all, fresh air and physical activity
- Weaknesses: seasonal (April–October), weather-dependent, small capacity, limited team aspect
#10 Kart Racing
Go-kart racing delivers adrenalin and a competitive buzz. A typical session includes practice laps, a final race and a podium ceremony. The atmosphere is electric and the rivalry naturally brings people together.
Capacity is very limited though — most Prague karting centres handle 6–16 drivers at a time, with larger groups waiting in rotation. Prices are on the higher end and from a team building perspective this is again individual competition, not team collaboration.
- Ideal for: small groups up to 20, corporate Olympics as one station, adrenalin lovers
- Strengths: strong adrenalin, competitive atmosphere, year-round indoor
- Weaknesses: high price, small capacity, individual racing without team aspect
How to Choose the Right Activity for Your Team
After reading this far, you probably have a sense of which direction you're heading. To make a confident decision, answer three key questions:
- How many people? If more than 30, your options narrow significantly. Scavenger Hunt is effectively the only activity without a capacity ceiling.
- What's the goal? Pure fun → laser game or outdoor escape game. Communication skills → cooking class. Strong team building experience → Scavenger Hunt or escape room.
- What's your budget? Under 300 CZK/pp — laser game. 300–800 CZK/pp — Scavenger Hunt, outdoor escape, escape room, axe throwing. Over 1,000 CZK/pp — cooking class or kart racing.
